Bermuda

Sorry for the lack of updates. We are sitting in Bermuda waiting for a weather window to get moving again. Looks like Friday.  It was a good trip down. Five and a half days. There have been a few beers drunk since we arrived but today has been a boat work day.

All of the issues are now sorted and we can chill tomorrow.  The only major jobs were rebedding the port in the head and getting the alternator bracket off, welded again, and reinstalled.  Everything else was minor.

Sitting at Captain Smokes marina so we have access to shower, power, water, and wi-fi.

Oh look. Heineken time.

Tomorrow is the day

The weather forecast is good.  Sea state forecast is not horrible.   We meet on the boat around 1030 and should be off the dock shortly after 1100.   Next stop is St. Georges, Bermuda.

A longer delay

Sometime on Sunday evening the four weather models that predict what is going happen out in the Atlantic aligned.  They all agreed that the big low that will be moving off the the US mainland was going to roll over us and give us headwinds of 30 to 35 knots.   Yesterday afternoon we decided to postpone our departure until this system either moves through or changes course.   Stay tuned.

A short delay

We have decided to wait for a day or two before leaving.  The original plan was Monday but here is the forecast.    For the non-sailors out there, the lines with three little feathers in the yellow areas mean 30 knots of wind.
